Kinds of Verbs

Action Verb:  Some action verbs refer to the physical action that can been seen by other people, other action verbs refer to a mental action that cannot been seen.

Example: 

Peter feeds the chickens. (The Physical Action is something that Peter does and I can see.)

Sarah likes the song.  (The Mental Action is something that Sarah feels herself.)

 

Being  Verb: Verbs which express a state of being and do not refer to action of any sort.  They simply tell what the subject is.

Example:

Peter is the best singer.

One girl seems angry.
